Aer Arann announces new Cork Airport route

From the 28th October 2008, Aer Arann will operate a new route from Cork Airport to Glasgow Prestwick Airport.

Fergal Barry of Aer Arann expressed delight at the announcement of the new route. He assured customers that they can expect the same quality service that was currently offered by Aer Arann on all Cork Airport routes.

The Aviation manager at Cork Airport Kevin Cullinane said that he believed the new route was excellent news for Cork Airport. He went on to say - This is wonderful news for Cork Airport as we are very much aware of the importance of making sure that Munster continues to enjoy superb connectivity to a vital business and tourist location

Aer Arann currently operates a successful Cork Airport to Edinburgh route.

Across the water, Mark Rodwell of Prestwick Airport echoed the sentiments of Cullinane offering praise for the current Aer Arann Donegal service and pointing out the long standing popularity of Scottish – Irish routes.

He went on to say - Cork is an excellent city break location with lots of great shopping and an exciting nightlife on offer, It is also well worth  exploring outside the city where you will discover some of Ireland’s most breathtaking scenery.
