Irish Tanaiste Mary Harney racked up a $7800 car hire bill during a trip to Orlando, a bill which of course was paid for by the Irish public. The trip took place as part of the Fas Science Intern Programme. Ms Harney held the position of enterprise minister at the time.

Florida’s town car service provided two cars for 6 days with chauffeurs included.
